http://www.ookpik.org/blogs/tatitlekcommunityschool/atom.aspxCommunity Server2010-01-10T19:40:00Z/blogs/tatitlekcommunityschool/archive/2010/01/10/a-native-lad.aspx2010-01-11T04:40:00Z2010-01-11T04:40:00Z<p>A few students at Tatitlek Community School&nbsp;will be performing &quot;A Native Lad&quot; on January 29th.&nbsp; The play was written by Sarah Hurst.&nbsp; My middle school students, four in total, began reading the play in late August.&nbsp; The kids loved the story!&nbsp; They asked if they could perform the play for our community.&nbsp; Needless to say, I was happily surprised.&nbsp; We divided the characters between the students, a couple of teachers, and two community members.&nbsp; We&nbsp;will use our 6 primary kids to play the Tlingit dancers in the first scene.&nbsp; Although&nbsp;this is a BIG project, the kids are excited to be involved in &quot;history brought to life&quot;.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div><img src="http://www.ookpik.org/aggbug.aspx?PostID=246" width="1" height="1">MrsLhttp://www.ookpik.org/members/MrsL/default.aspx
